The Lion And The Lamb
Jesus is so much more than “The Lion and the Lamb”. But when I think about those two aspects of Who He Is:
The Lion
The King. Powerful. Strong. Courageous. The King who fought and won over all evil and over death.
The Lamb
The Sacrifice. Humble. Gentle. Consciously submissive. The Sacrifice who took away all sin for all time.
A Lion Of A Lamb
Every human being is made in the image of God. Not God. Not divine.
But with the ability to be a lion of a lamb:
— Powerful enough to choose humility, and regard others more highly than themselves.
— Strong enough to choose gentleness, showing compassion and understanding to everyone.
— Courageous enough to be consciously submissive to reflect God’s love and kindness.
My prayer is that each of us “be a lion of a lamb”. That we use our power, strength, and courage with the fierceness of a lion to show kindness and love as we serve others.
