In The Storm
When I focus on the storm, the clouds obscure everything else.
But if I expand my field of vision, I see lighter patches and places where the storm isn’t as powerful.

And if I look even further out, I’m reminded that the sun is always there. Even in the storm.
The storm will pass.
The sun will triumph.

In Life
When I focus on problems, they obscure everything else.
But if I look beyond the problems, I see areas where life is better and where problems don’t exist.
And if I look even further out, I’m reminded that the Son, the Light of the World, is always with me. Even in the storm.
The problems already have a solution.
Because the Son has already triumphed.

I love what you wrote, Joni. I weather storms best when I hold on to God’s word. His promises give me hope and peace! Blessings to you!
Thank you for reading and commenting, Kim. God’s Word and promises are my only hope.
I love your thoughts that when you look further out you can see the solutions, because God has the solutions. I think… hope for better days helps me weather the storms. Years ago I was told I had a “Cinderella Complex.” I think it was directed at me as a derogatory term. I took it as a compliment… that I believed in happy endings:)
Thanks for sharing, Jane. I’m thankful I can renew my mind with God’s Word so I can let go (with God’s help) of the lies hateful people spout at me. Their hope is to control me. I don’t have to let them. And we do have a happy ending – eternity with God.
Very encouraging and a great reminder that God has everything under control.
Thanks for your comments, Tim. Glad the post was helpful.
